Pumpkin Pie Spiced Coffee

Check out the new coffee drink we concocted with a rich Italian-roasted coffee bean, pumpkin pie spice, and real whipped cream! The French press really brought the flavors to life because we could allow the coffee to steep at the perfect temperature. It was pressed with pumpkin pie spice and then topped with real whipped cream, just like a pumpkin pie.

The recipe is so simple.

4 tablespoons coarsely ground coffee

4 cups hot water

1 tablespoon pumpkin pie spice.

Place the coffee in a French press pot. Heat the water to 195-200 degrees on the stove. Pour the hot water over the ground coffee in a French press pot. Add the pumpkin pie spice. Steep for 4 minutes. Press with the filter, so the grinds are pushed to the bottom, taking care to line up the pouring spout. Pour the hot brewed coffee into a cup. Add cream if you like. Top with whipped cream. Dust with a little chocolate sugar.

Enjoy!

We used Bodhum’s French Press and the new antler pot from Crate and Barrel. It has a temperature gauge on the top so you can heat the water to a precise temperature.

Imagine this delicious coffee at your desk!
