Seka Hills Olive Harvest
If you follow my Instagram channel you might have seen this image of the picual olive photographed right before harvest at Seka Hills in Brooks, CA. I spent the day shooting their harvest along with their public relations content for consultant, Roberta Klugman. I love working with Roberta because she always emphasizes "sense of place" in our work together!
Roberta wanted to show a sense of place for Seka Hills soo we started our day with a beautiful sunrise over the Capay Valley and the Seka Hills Tasting Room in Brooks, CA.
Then we toured the 5 olive oil orchards. Here are a few favorites showing the medium-density Picual orchard as well as the high-density Arbequina.
The oil is milled immediately after the olives are harvested. Check out the gorgeous green color!
The tasting room is set up to help you learn about varieties of Seka Hills olive oil.
Did you know that you can put olio nuovo over vanilla bean ice cream? Here is one of the lifestyle images that I created to show the uses of olio nuovo for Roberta's press release about the Seka Hills harvest, events, and new 2021 oils. Check everything out on the Seka Hills website.
